Background

The background EEG is normal, mild focal slowing may be seen in a third of cases.

Interictal

One fifth of cases may have infrequent sharp and slow-wave complexes seen in the temporal region, often unilaterally.

Activation

EEG abnormality is enhanced by sleep deprivation and in sleep.

Ictal

There are inadequate published records of ictal EEG in this syndrome.
